EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – A 35-year-old man allegedly robbed three cell phone stores and then led police on a car chase.

Juan Carlos De la Rosa is facing three charges of burglary, one charge of robbery and evading arrest with a motor vehicle.

In a news release, the El Paso Police Department said on April 27 during a surveillance operation De la Rosa was seen entering the vacant business through an air-conditioning duct and then tunneled through sheetrock to enter the Cricket Wireless at 9411 Alameda.

De la Rosa allegedly took 60 cell phone and accessories and drove away, police said.

When a marked patrol car tried to stop him, he led the unit on a car chase.

It was later discovered he had allegedly robbed a Metro PCS at 1120 McRae on April 15 and another Cricket Wireless at 9802 Gateway West on April 22.

He was later arrested in the 400 block of Lafayette and booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility. His bonds equal $96,000.
