EPPD: Alleged drunk driver showed false ID, had outstanding warrants

Police arrested a man on Wednesday after he allegedly drove drunk and presented false identification to officers.

According to a news release, Julio Cesar Alcala, 38, was allegedly drunk when he nearly struck an electric pole before hitting a curb.

He then parked the car sideways in the driveway of a home located at 200 N. Walnut.

Police arrested Alcala for DWI. He later gave officers a Chihuahua driver’s license with a false name. 

Investigators later discovered that Alcala also had outstandig warrants Assault, Obstruction or Retaliation, and a warrant from the US Marshals.

He was booked into the El Paso County Jail on the outstanding warrants, DWI, and Failure to ID/Fugitive from Justice under a $22,750.00 bond.
