Police arrested a woman on Thursday for allegedly filing a false police report.

According to a news release, Erica Rodarte, 34, claimed that her vehicle was broken into and $9,000 in cash had been stolen.

Upon investigation, officers later discovered that Rodarte had provided false information — the vehicle was not burglarized and no money was taken, police say.

Roadarte was booked into the El Paso County Jail under a $5,000 bond.
