El Paso Police say they are continuing their search for several cars who hit and killed a 72-year-old El Paso man as he crossed Montana Avenue earlier this month and never stopped to render aid.

According to EPPD, Alberto Escoto, 72, was crossing the street in the 9300 block of Montana near Rutherglen just before 5 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9. Escoto was struck by a 2018 Hyundai driven by a 41-year-old woman and later hit by several other vehicles.

Police say only one of the other vehicles, a 2007 Chevrolet driven by a 56-year-old man, stopped to render aid.

Escoto was not in a crosswalk when he was struck. Police are asking anyone with information on the other vehicles who struck Escoto on Montana to contact them by calling 915-212-4080.
