An El Paso man could spend the next three decades behind bars after he was convicted of producing child pornography in February.

According to a news release, a U.S. district judge sentenced Nickolias Sauceda, 33, to 30 years in prison followed by a lifetime of supervised release.

Homeland Security Investigations agents executed a search warrant at Saucedo’s home in May 2018 and seized several computers, cell phones, and other related media containing hundreds of videos and pictures depicting child pornography.

According to the Department of Justice, investigators found that Sauceda produced three videos showing him having sex with a 15-year-old girl.

“This case is another nightmarish example of a person recording his sexual brutalization of a child. I am proud that our office continues to fight this wave of child abuse,” stated U.S. Attorney Bash.

Sauceda pleaded guilty to the child pornography production charge on Feb. 6.

“This sentence–essentially a life sentence–exemplifies the type of heinous crimes committed against the most vulnerable among us,” said Jack P. Staton, a special agent in charge of HSI El Paso. “Taking child predators off the streets is part of HSI’s mission, and we will continue to target them and use our authority and technical expertise to keep them from victimizing children.”
