A man convicted of indecency with a child allegedly cut off his ankle monitor upon moving out of El Paso, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office said.

Jesus Abel Garcia was convicted of two counts of indecency with a child out of Nueces County. The victim in the case was a 14-year-old girl.

The Sheriff’s Office said that Garcia was changing his address to Corpus Christi, but on March 17, he allegedly cut off his ankle monitor while in the Nueces County area. He has been missing ever since then.

He is wanted on a parole violation for failure to register as a sex offender.

Anyone with information on Garcia is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 915-538-2008.
