Amber Alert canceled for Carlsbad, NM girl

The 7-year-old Carlsbad girl who was reported missing on Monday has been found and is safe, according to New Mexico State Police.


New Mexico State Police have issued an Amber Alert for a missing 7-year-old girl from Carlsbad, N.M.

Riley Anderson is about three feet, six inches tall and weighs about 50 pounds with short blonde hair and hazel eyes.

It is unknown what she is wearing, but she is believed to be with Luke Talley, 25. He is described as Caucasian, six feet, five inches tall and weighing about 160 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes. He also has tattoos on both arms.

Police said they might be in a 2012 white Silverado with yellow New Mexico license plates reading 608STF.

“After police were contacted, a thorough investigation has commenced,” the alert said. “Last known location is on Rockin R Road five miles east from US Highway 285 between Carlsbad and Artesia, New Mexico. He is possibly headed to Ruidoso or Cloudcroft, NM.”

Anyone with information on Riley Anderson or Luke Talley is asked to call the Carlsbad Police Department at 575-885-2111.
