Juarez confirms 1st case of COVID-19

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Health officials on Tuesday confirmed the first case of COVID-19 in Juarez.

Jesús Enrique Grajeda, the Chihuahua state secretary of health, said the person is a 29-year-old man who recently traveled to Italy and other European cities.

Grajeda said the man is recovering at home.

According to officials, the man is from Casas Grandes, Chihuahua but he lives in Juárez. After traveling to Europe, he returned back to Juárez flying to Los Ángeles then to El Paso and finally back to Juarez.
