City reports no new virus related deaths, 192 new cases

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — On Wednesday, the City of El Paso Department of Health reported no new coronavirus-related deaths.

The Health Department also reported 192 new cases, bringing the total number of cases to 132,892.  14 additional cases which are part of the delayed local results issued by the State to the Department of Public Health were also reported. The results are from the tests conducted during the 2021 CDC Week 15.  We are currently in CDC Week 16.

Health officials advised that 127,632 individuals have recovered from COVID-19. There are 2,619 active cases.

As far as vaccination data, 57.3% of El Paso’s population of 16+ is partially vaccinated and 35.5% is fully vaccinated. 576,228 vaccine doses have been administered, according to the city.
