Where county residents can get pets spayed, neutered for free in February

Residents will again have the opportunity to take advantage of the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office’s free spay and neutering program in February.

In addition, on February 1, residents of Horizon City, Vinton, Socorro, Anthony, Clint, San Elizario and other unincorporated areas within El Paso County can receive free rabies and booster shots.

Both shots and procedures and be scheduled together on the same day.

Services are by appointment only and are limited to the first 20 pets per event. The schedule is as follows:  

Wednesday, February 6 — San Elizario

Thursday, February 7 — Socorro City

Friday, February 8 — Horizon City, Texas

Thursday, February 14 — Socorro City

Tuesday, February 19 — Anthony

Thursday, February 21— Socorro City

Friday, February 22 — Horizon City

Thursday, February 28 — Socorro City
