A local resident is asking for volunteers to join her to help keep El Paso clean.
The Transmountain highway has areas with a large amount of trash and debris. So local resident Erica Rocha teamed up with a coworker to have a community clean-up.
“I think the people of El Paso are very proud of their city and we want to make sure that we leave a clean city for future generations,” Rocha said. “We also want to share that pride with people who come and visit, when they come and visit and see trash on our streets or in our mountains that doesn’t leave a good impression.”
If you would like to get involved, you can can email Rocha at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Volunteers will meet at the top of Smuggler’s Pass on the Transmountain Road (Loop 375) at the Ron Coleman Trailhead. On January 19th, they will provide trash bags, but make sure and wear gloves!
