With Halloween right around the corner, “spooky season” is in full swing at Montwood High School.
“It’s fun to scare people, it’s fun to make people laugh, it’s fun to see people with either joy or fear,” senior Dylan Licon tells KTSM.
Several student organizations are teaming up to build and design the school’s third annual haunted house to help raise money for upcoming competitions.
“I know we have some coming up in the new year, so I think this haunted house would benefit us as much as it would the community,” senior Destiny Santos said.
Although the haunted house is located inside Montwood High School, students say it also attracts the outside community.
“I love to see people come in here,” Licon said. “I think it’s great that we’re getting it out there and that we get to have different people — not only the students but the family of the students, [but] people that aren’t even affiliated with the school.”
Montwood High School’s haunted house debuts Wednesday, Oct. 24 at 4:30 p.m. at the campus located at 12000 Montwood Dr. Admission is $4.
