Easter Bunny hops into El Paso Children’s Hospital

Easter is right around the corner, and some of El Paso’s littlest patients got a surprise visit from some-bunny special on Thursday afternoon.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office and the Easter bunny hopped into the El Paso Children’s Hospital for their annual Easter visit.

Patients received candy and gift baskets full of goodies and had the chance to take pictures with him.

Organizers say the visit helps brighten the children’s stay at the hospital.

“You hate to see children who are having to go through these medical conditions, but it is so nice to walk into the room and see the smile on their faces when they see the Easter bunny (and) take a picture with the Easter bunny,” El Paso County Sheriff Richard Wiles said.

Each basket distributed contained a stuffed animal companion provided by the Easter Bunny Foundation.
