El Paso Animal Services offers free adoptions in time for the ‘pawlidays’

Clear the Shelters

El Paso Animal Services is helping you give a furry friend the gift of a loving home this holiday season.

The shelter is offering free pet adoptions through December 23 during its two-week-long “Home for the Pawlidays” promotion.

According to a news release, pets will be available on a first come, first served basis. All adoptions include spay and neutering, age-appropriate vaccines, microchips, and city licensing.

Although fees will be waived, the shelter is still welcoming blanket and crate donations.

Animal Services reminds potential adopting families that bringing an animal home is a lifelong decision that should be made with all members of the family

“The department encourages those interested in adding a new member to the family, to visiting the shelter and adopt a pet together rather than gifting your family member an unexpected pet for the holidays,” the shelter wrote in the release.

Animal Services is located at 5001 Fred Wilson.
