Jasmine Perry is a Multi -Media Journalist at KTSM 9 News.
She was born and raised in Southern California – to be exact Los Angeles County. Jasmine is a mom and she is married into the Army, which is what brought her to the borderland. Prior to coming to El Paso, Jasmine lived in Missouri where she earned her bachelors in Journalism at Missouri State University in 2020.
Since traveling around the world because of the military, Jasmine decided to come to El Paso because it reminds her of back home. The people, the culture and being so close to California.
Jasmine knew what she wanted to be since she was a little girl. She would pretend to be live on air in home videos when she was a kid but once she did the morning announcements in high school, she knew broadcast journalism was her calling.
Prior to working for KTSM 9 News, Jasmine interned and worked at KOLR 10 News in Missouri as a digital web producer. She gained experience by going on air as the Entertainment News Correspondent for Ozarks FOX AM. She also interned and reported on air at a radio station in Missouri called KFLW ‘The Fort’.
Besides Jasmine being very social and enjoys meeting new people, she loves helping people by telling their story. Although she reports in English, she also speaks fluent Spanish.
