Snow and ice on the roads and very cold temperatures create extra hazards for drivers. To minimize winter driving problems, follow these tips:

Winterize you car before cold weather starts. Check your oil and replace your antifreeze. Be sure the heater, brakes and windshield wipers are in good working order. Before you leave, check weather conditions on radio and television.

Please remember that a little snow or ice can be just as dangerous as a lot of it. Snow and ice can melt as the temperature rises during the day only to refreeze as glazed ice as temperatures dip below freezing again.
