This Week's Weather (10/12)

A fairly significant West Coast storm system will drive moisture into the Borderland. As of this morning (10/12) our upper level storm was just pushing into the Central California coast. Over the next few days this storm will bring much need precipitation to the west coast. In the mean time, that same storm will push the jetstream in our direction and help draw in tropical/sub-tropical moisture from Mexico into the Borderland. Expect a general increase in clouds today, tonight, and on Tuesday. We may be able to squeeze out a shower or two with this moisture push. Outside of that, not much else from the storm coming our way. Dry weather pushes back into the region by mid-week. We'll stay above normal to near normal the rest of the week into the weekend. Dry and warm temperatures through the upcoming weekend. The good news with this, it'll be an ideal time to wash the car and/or plan outdoor activities through the weekend. The bad news is we are about an inch below normal for precipitation so far this year and we could use the rain.
