Here is a look at the national weather picture on this important travel day. Weather looks fantastic across the Southwestern U.S. Expect no travel problems from California to Texas. Heavy rains and storms moving into the Pacific Northwest. Snow for parts of the upper Midwest with rains for the upper Great Lakes and the Ohio River Valley. Florida will continue to see very nasty weather as well. Here is the forecast for select cities across the nation: Denver: Morning clouds, HI 49 LO 28. Chicago: Showers, HI 48 LO 37, travel delays likely. Phoenix: Sunny, HI 79 LO 49. Los Angeles: Sunny, HI 81 LO 49. Seattle: Rain, HI 56 LO 48, travel delays likely. Atlanta: Sunny, HI 63 LO 40. New York: Spot Showers, HI 53 LO 46, travel delays likely. Washington DC: AM Rain, HI 57 LO 44, travel delays likely. Miami: Heavy Rain, HI 81 LO 71, travel delays likely.
