Info: Climate Prediction Center
This "wetter" weather pattern we've seen this Winter is sticking around for February. The Climate Prediction is leaning toward a wet month for almost all of the Southern Tier of the United States, including right here in the Borderland. Meanwhile, dry weather dominates the Northwestern U.S. We'll also see a drier patch in the Midwest. Locally, with February being a slightly warmer winter month, especially toward the end of the month, I suspect most of these storms will just drop rain for the lowlands, while area mountains will pile on the snow.
