Tornado Watch for New Mexico

El Paso, TX — 8:18p.m. reports of tornadoes touching the ground in Clovis NM have been reported.
Reports of 2 inch hail have also been reported in Roswell NM.
The national weather service in Albuquerque has issued a
* Severe thunderstorm warning for Central Chaves county in southeast New Mexico until 8:15 pm
* At 7:30 pm NWS Doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of producing half dollar size hail and damaging winds in excess of 60 mph. This storm was located 29
miles northwest of Roswell and moving southeast at 30 mph.
* locations impacted include bitter lake wildlife refuge.
Severe storms produce damaging winds and large hail move indoors and
Tornado watch is in effect until 1200 am June 8 for the
following locations in New Mexico:
Chaves Colfax Curry
De Baca Guadalupe Harding
Lincoln Mora Quay
Roosevelt Santa Fe San Miguel
For Sunday we will continue to be very active. Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible in the eastern Plains.
