Large change in the weather pattern this week. Today's high temperature, which topped 101 degrees, will give way to cooler 80s the rest of this week. A cold front crashes the heat party Tuesday, bringing more showers and thunderstorms (enhancing the monsoon moisture in the area). Mid/upper level atmosphere high pressure also moves away and redevelops off to our west, with a second area of high pressure developing over the eastern half of the country. For us this spells a situation of cooler weather next several days and the return of deeper monsoon moisture by the weekend. Temperatures will run below normal for a change into Friday. Near normal weather returns this weekend.
