Early Preview Of Thanksgiving Weather

Significant weather change likely next week across much of the country, including here locally in the Borderlands. Upper air pattern is on schedule to swing a few cold fronts our way early to the middle of next week. A strong trough of low pressure is already moving on to the west coast. That storm will track rain and snow into the Far Western States this weekend. As it move east, it'll dry out, and bring us wind along with those two cold pushes. There are still questions about exactly when we'll see that big cool down...but at this point it looks to be somewhere in the Thursday to Friday time period next week, just in time for the long Thanksgiving holiday.

Below is our final update on the fall colors at the Guadalupe Mountains National Park as the colors are now past peak in most areas. Still, worth a day trip if possible!
