Veronica M. Landry Multimedia Manager/Producer
My journalism career started in 1999 in Kearney, Nebraska, after attending Hastings College. From there, I moved to Savannah, Georgia, then Shreveport, Louisiana. I took some time away from news to work with U.S. Soldiers (as a contractor) in Mosul, Iraq from 2004-2005. Later I worked in Army Public Affairs at Fort Polk, Louisiana, and most recently served as the Speechwriter for Maj. Gen. Dana J.H. Pittard and the 1st Armored Division Command Team at Fort Bliss.
In addition to paid work, I also enjoy volunteering. After serving more than three years as a Family Readiness Group Leader and Care Team member for the Army, I served as the President of the SGT Isela Rubalcava LULAC Council #4457 for two years and remain an active council member. Additionally, I am an avid outdoor cyclist, spinning instructor, and certified fitness trainer. You can catch me volunteering at Fort Bliss as an indoor cycling instructor early in the mornings - training Soldiers!
As an Army veteran, I truly appreciate living in the warm military-friendly Sun City. After living in El Paso for more than three years, it definitely feels like home! HOOAH!
