Sandra Ramirez Anchor/Reporter
Sandra Ramirez is a fourth generation El Pasoan. Her great-grandparents owned a home in the heart of Central El Paso where her grandmother and mother were raised; its also where Sandra has many childhood memories.
Sandra is locally educated. She graduated from Andress High School and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in Electronic Media from the University of Texas El Paso. She has since returned to UTEP to pursue a master’s degree in Communication.
Her career in television started at KCOS-TV, the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) station in El Paso where she worked in public relations.
Sandra then moved to KTSM as the morning show producer. After two years, she transitioned to the position of a multimedia journalist. She enjoys being “out in the field,” meeting new people in her hometown and following El Pasoans' stories.
When she’s not at work, a lot of Sandra’s time is devoted to her family and cheering on her nephews at their little league games. She also enjoys trying all of the wonderful food at the many local restaurants in El Paso.
