Marita Vera is a multimedia reporter for KTSM.

Before KTSM, Vera was completing her graduate studies at Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism, where she focused on technology, energy and business reporting. Vera's recent one-hour long documentary, "Building a technology company during a recession," is now part of the curriculum at Harvard Business School. Her television experience began as a weekend technology reporter and producer for a station in Silicon Valley. Vera has produced and written for NBC in Los Angeles and her work has appeared on Popular Mechanics, Gigaom, Community Health and various local newspapers.

Prior to television, Vera worked at Draper Richards LLC, a venture capital firm in San Francisco. During her time at Northwestern, Vera was at Madison Dearborn Partners, a private equity firm in Chicago working in their communications and energy department. Vera received her bachelors degree from U.C.L.A.
