EL PASO - "I bought lanyards and shirts...just orange shirts because we're supposed to orange out."

As the Miners prepare to take on the Aggies of NMSU... UTEP fans mine for gameday apparel to support the blue and orange.

"We're expecting a big drew from the fans so we're looking forward to that."

University Bookstore Director Frank Morga says the store always strikes it rich in the days leading up to a game against a big rival.

"We see about a 20-percent increase in sales."

The store has stocked up in anticipation of this year's run-in with the Aggies.

"It's one of the most important games of the year even though it's not even a seat conference, but it's just a tradition and we look forward to that game every year."

Freshman Karen Orguiz understands the history between these bitter rivals... separated by an interstate.

"It's just like a thing we have because they're on the other side and then like everyone either goes over there or over here."
