City Offers to Spay and Neuter Pets for Free
El Paso – El Paso is taking part in the 16th annual “Spay Day USA,” a national event to promote spaying or neutering pets.
This year, the City of El Paso Department of Public Health's Animal Services Program, along with the Humane Society, is offering to spay or neuter 60 pets of low or fixed income families.
The surgeries are being performed on a first come, first serve basis, starting at 7:00 a.m. at the Humane Society.
According to city officials, more than 25,000 homeless animals are euthanized in El Paso each year.
