EL PASO - The Fountains at Farah, a 500,000 square foot shopping center is scheduled to open in May 2012.  

A ceremony was held today at the old Farah Factory. 

The building's demolition will be completed by December.

Paul Foster, who bought the 55 acres of land five years ago, said it was important to him to keep the name Farah in the development's title.

Keeping just the name doesn't mean we'll get the jobs back. All it's going to be is another oulet where teenagers are working for minimum wage; trying to sell Chinese-made junk that no one can afford anymore.
