Susana Martinez Visits Las Cruces
LAS CRUCES - Gubernatorial Republican Candidate Susana Martinez visits Las Cruces to cast her ballot and speak before a small crowd gathered at Albert Johnson Park.
Supporters wore Martinez t-shirts and waved signs as she took the mic for a brief speech.
If elected... she'll become the first Latina governor in U.S. history.
"The fact that I'm female and hispanic by itself doesn't do anything. It's where do we make the differences, how do we make the changes so we make kids like this grow up wanting to go to college and then continue to make a difference and pass that on to their own kids," said Martinez.
After her speech... Martinez spent time meeting those who attended the rally.
Her opponent... Diane Denish... also held a rally today in the same location.
