So what is a Star Citizen, you ask? Kids between the ages of 6 to 18 who set examples of commitment in our community are what being a Star Citizen is about. It's not just the students excelling in sports and academics; it's the ones always helping others. The one always walking the elderly neighbor around the block, the budding scientist or the volunteer at the local animal shelter - they can be Star Citizens too!
How do you nominate a Star Citizen? Whether it's a proud parent, a teacher, or a friend anyone can nominate a "Star Citizen". It's easy, all you have to do is write NewsChannel Nine (in 250 words or less) who you think should be a Star Citizen and why. Deadline for submissions is July 31, 2008.
The best part? The Star Citizen selected can be on TV! NewsChannel 9 will feature the Star Citizen on a commercial plus the selected Star Citizen will receive a one year supply of ice cream* and a one year supply of milk**. Plus, Price's will light the star on the mountain in honor of the Star Citizen.
Decisions made by NewsChannel 9 and Price's Selection Committee are final.
