Statement from BCS Executive Director Bill Hancock:

"After its victory Saturday, Alabama now has been No.1 in the BCS Standings 14 times since the BCS began in 1998. The Crimson Tide trails only Oklahoma (20 weeks), Ohio State (15 weeks), and Southern California (15 weeks) for the most times ranked No. 1. In this final year of the BCS, we're sure to see more records made and great football played en route to the No. 1 and No. 2 teams meeting in the championship game in Pasadena January 6."
