Vittatoe Reflects on Victory, Records After Win over Rice
Trevor Vittatoe passed Jordan Palmer Saturday night as the school's all-time leading passer in the 44-24 victory over Rice. Vittatoe, whose mother passed away his junior year of High School, spoke about her and the records after the victory.
"It's fun to break records and such, but the best feeling is that we are 5-1 right now, sitting pretty, and the chemistry on the team is really good and we're going in the right direction. I dedicated this to my mom, she's been my motivation for everything that I have done, and I felt really good that I was able to do that and be able to accomplish the things that I have." Senior Receiver Kris Adams added, "I am happy for Trevor, he has been working hard, he's been through a lot, and to come back and break records, that's a good thing." Head Coach Mike Price said after the game, "Luckily for us, that guy... You don't really know everything that has gone on in his life, I do, the relationship that he and I have, but it's sure good right now."
