The first El Paso amateur golf tournament of the summer is under way at Ascarate Golf Course. The Edwards-Zuloaga Championship Tournament began the first day of competition today. UTEP's David Persons leads after shooting a 66 on the first day. Josh Spencer is in second two strokes behind him. The tournament concludes tomorrow.
