Jeremiah Bryson for a career-best 120 yards and two touchdowns and Logan Kilgore completed 19-of-27 passes for 325 yards and two touchdowns as Middle Tennessee defeated UTEP, 48-17, on Saturday evening at Johnny 'Red' Floyd Stadium.

The Blue Raiders (8-4, 6-2 Conference USA) scored early and often en route to 629 yards of total offense and their fifth consecutive win. The Miners (2-10, 1-7 C-USA) dropped their second straight contest to cap the season.

Middle Tennessee scored six touchdowns and two field goals on eight of its first nine possessions and tallied 27 first downs. The Blue Raiders converted 11 of 16 third downs, while their first punt came early in the fourth quarter.

The Miners garnered a few highlights as junior Nathan Jeffery rushed for a season-best 140 yards and two touchdowns. Jeffery notched his sixth-career 100-yard game and fourth career multiple touchdown game. Devin Cockrell intercepted a Kilgore pass in the third quarter - giving the Miner defense their third pick of the season and first since Dashone Smith picked off two passes at NM State on Sept. 14.

UTEP tight ends were productive as Eric Tomlinson paced the Miners with four catches (42 yards), while Craig Wenrick led the squad with 50 yards (two receptions). Freshman Mack Leftwich completed 14-of-24 passes for 117 yards and no interceptions.
