All-American Anthony Rotich was named Conference USA’s Male Athlete of the Week on Tuesday.

Rotich represented the Miners in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in the Payton Jordan Cardinal Invitational hosted by Stanford. The two-time national champion was the first collegiate runner to cross the finish line, garnering him silver with a personal-best time of 8:30.54.The All-American's performance currently ranks first in the nation, seven seconds faster than the second-best time. This is Rotich's third outdoor Athlete of the Week honor this season and the sixth of his career.
