UTEP golf sits in 14th in San Antonio
El Paso, TX — The UTEP men’s golf team is in 14th place through 36 holes of the UTSA-Oak Hills Invitational on Monday in San Antonio.
The Miners shot a 306 in both round one and round two for a total of 612 with one round remaining on Tuesday.
Oklahoma leads the 15-team field (294-285-579).
UTEP’s Martin Simonsen is tied for ninth place with a four-over-par 146 (70-76). Roberto Ruiz is tied for 29th place (76-74-150), Jacob Loya is tied for 69th place (83-74-157), Jere Pelletier is in 78th place (79-82-161) and Jose Manuel Romero is tied for 81st place (81-83-164).
The Miners’ Frederik Dreier, competing as an individual, is in 84th place (84-85-169).
