El Paso, TX — The UTEP Miners swept Athlete of the Week honors following their performances at the Texas A&M Invitational on Feb. 7-8. Freshman distance athlete Cosmas Boit ran the lead leg on a strong distance medley relay and turned in one of the top mile performances in the conference. Sophomore triple jumper Nickevea Wilson won the triple jump with one of her strongest performances of the season.
Competing in his first distance medley relay, Boit ran the opening leg on the Miners’ squad that won the event at the Texas A&M Invitational with a time of 9:37.31, the third-fastest time in school history, eighth-best in the nation and tops in C-USA this season.
