UPDATED: Saturday, August 2, 2014 - 11:04pm

One of UTEP's most decorated athletes continues to shine as sprinter Blessing Okagbare finished with two gold and one silver medal at the Commonwealth Games in Glascow, Scotland Saturday.

Okagbare collected the third medal in the 4x100 relay when her Nigerian team crossed the line in second place for the silver medal behind Jamaica.

The Miner alum secured Nigeria its first Athletics gold medal of the XX Commonwealth games Monday winning the women's 100m dash and setting a new record at the games.

The former NCAA Champion followed that with a gold medal in the 200m dash on Thursday.

The Olympic bronze-medalist became only the second African to win the women’s 100m title since Mary Onyali-Omagbemi in 1994.
