Miners To Open Homestand Against Houston Baptist Saturday
UTEP will start a five-game homestand by playing host to Houston Baptist at 7:05 p.m. MST on Saturday. The Miners are 2-0 on the year, including 1-0 at the Don Haskins Center. The Huskies have dropped their first three tilts, with each setbacks coming on the road.

First Time For Everything
The Miners and Huskies will be meeting for the first time in program history.

Getting Out Of The Gates Fast
UTEP is looking to secure its first 3-0 start since the 2006-07 season and the fifth such opening overall in program history. The 1996-97 team bolted out at 7-0, while the 1998-99 squad was 4-0 and the first team at the school opened up at 3-0.

Support Football, Get In Free
Fans can receive free admission to the game against Houston Baptist by showing their ticket from the UTEP football team’s game against Tulsa (1 p.m. MST Saturday). Otherwise, please call (915) 747-5234 to purchase an individual game ticket.

Video and audio for every home game for the Miners on the year will be available through Miner TV on UTEPAthletics.com (subscription-based). All of the road contests on the season for UTEP will be broadcast on Talk Radio 1150 AM.

GOING BACK IN TIME
Brown Leads UTEP To 76-72 OT Win At NM State
Gloria Brown poured in 21 points while grabbing nine rebounds and blocking eight shots to help lead UTEP to a 76-72 overtime victory at New Mexico State in the SONIC® ® America’s Drive-In® battle of I-10 on Nov. 16. The Aggies scored the first two points of OT before the Miners ripped off nine straight to surge ahead, 70-63, with 3:03 to play. NM State eventually whittled the margin down to two (74-72) but Melisa Mendes came up with a clutch steal and sank a pair of free throws with six seconds left to seal the win.
