UTEP Women’s Golf Takes Seventh at C-USA Championship
The UTEP women’s golf team ended its season with a seventh-place finish on Wednesday at the Conference USA Championship in Gulf Shores, Ala.
The Miners shot rounds of 319, 314 and 311 for a total of 944. The tournament champion was Tulsa (299-291-294-884).
Leading UTEP was senior Shang-Fan Huang, who tied for 14th place with a 12-over-par 228 (77-77-74). Nathalie Castillo tied for 21st place (81-76-75-232), Teresa Nogués tied for 36th place (82-80-79-241), Camino Sardinero tied for 39th place (79-81-83-243) and Emma Burman finished 45th (84-86-88-258).
