UTEP was ranked no. 34 of 132 Division I programs with a team GPA of 3.337. Ashley Collazo, Jessica Villanueva, Kayla Oranger, Kayleigh Walts, Kelynn Frye and Stacie Townsend received individual honors scholar athlete honors by the association.
“Along with this family atmosphere comes the ideal in which we are building a well-rounded woman,” Rodriguez added. “We believe in the importance of serving the El Paso community and making a strong connection with the people that support UTEP softball daily. Included in the well-rounded woman ideal is the fact that we demand excellence in the classroom. We expect our women to step out of UTEP with all the needed tools to become successful, contributing members of society.”
