Friday, August 13:  Everybody knows how powerful and explosive the UTEP offense can be, but the receivers will be counted on this year, all of them.  Gone is Jeff Moturi to graduation, and senior quarterback Trevor Vittatoe will lean on some returner's to lead this team.  Back is senior receiver Kris Adams, who had 42 receptions for 580 yards but only two touchdowns last season.  A far cry from his 958 yards and 14 touchdowns in 2008.  Kris noted his experience, and plans on leading the receivers this season.  "I am coming out here and play hard everyday. I am practicing hard and trying to get better, trying to get the guys under me better, I guess that is one thing about being a senior, is that you have guys looking up to you."

Head Coach Mike Price also noted that junior Donovan Kemp must step up, after just 12 receptions for 284 yards and four touchdowns last season.  "Kris Adams and Donovan Kemp are looking fantastic, and the tight end position is solid, we have about six tight ends."  UTEP Senior Jonny Moore is listed as the starting tight end on the depth chart.
