UTEP Men's Basketball Victorious at Tulsa

TULSA--- The UTEP Men's Basketball team picked up their 20th victory of the season Saturday afternoon, defeating Tulsa, 78-70. 

UTEP improves to 20-5, 11-1 in Conference USA, while Tulsa falls to 19-8, 8-5 in Conference USA.

Tulsa took a brief 8-7 lead, but never led again in the ballgame.

Randy Culpepper led UTEP with a game-high 27 points, including several highlight reel dunks. 

Culpepper was one of four Miners in double-figures:  Derrick Caracter had 18 points, Arnette Moultrie had 13, and Julyan Stone had 10 points. 

Tulsa was led by Ben Uzoh's 22 points, and Jerome Jordan had 19 points and 13 rebounds. 

UTEP shot 50.9% from the field, and held Tulsa to 37.7% shooting. 

UTEP will play at Southern Miss, Wednesday, February 24.
