The University of Texas at El Paso invites Miner fans to welcome the upcoming football season during the Eastside Miner Store Pep Rally from 11 a.m.- 3 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 31 at the Miner Store, located at 1452 N. Zaragoza, Suite A500 in East El Paso. The event is free and open to the public.

Fans will be able to enjoy free refreshments, prizes and giveaways courtesy of UTEP Athletics, UTEP Food Services, UTEP Alumni Services and the UTEP Bookstore, as well as appearances by the UTEP Cheerleaders and Paydirt Pete. Radio station Que Buena (KBNA-FM 97.5) will also have a live remote at the event.

UTEP opens its football season on Saturday, Sept. 7, at Sun Bowl Stadium against the New Mexico Lobos. Fans can purchase single game tickets at the Eastside Miner Store. UTEP Athletics also will be on site selling season ticket packages for both the Miners football season and the upcoming Miners basketball season.
