The UTEP football team will cap the 2013 edition of spring drills – its first under the direction of coach Sean Kugler – with the annual Orange and Blue game on Friday, April 12 at 7 p.m. in the Sun Bowl.

This year the UTEP Spring Game is bigger and better than ever before, with a pregame tailgate prefacing the one-hour scrimmage, and a youth clinic and autograph session following immediately afterwards.

The tailgate, slated for 6 p.m. at the Larry K. Durham Center, features free food and t-shirts for the first 400 fans, as well as UTEP giveaways while supplies last. The tailgate will be provided by the UTEP Residence Hall Association.

Concessions specials are in place for the UTEP scrimmage. There will also be $1 hot dogs for the first 500 fans (maximum of one per person), and free small popcorn with the purchase of a medium soda.

After fans get their first look at coach Kugler’s squad, they can take to the field to get autographs from their favorite players. Complimentary 2013 UTEP football schedule posters will be distributed.

A youth football clinic, open to kids seventh grade and younger and run by UTEP players, will be conducted on the field following the scrimmage. Please call 747-6065 or e-mail paydirtpete@utep.edu to register your child for the clinic.

UTEP football season tickets, starting at just $50, are on sale now by calling (915) 747-6150.
