UTEP Embarks for Another Crucial Camp Socorro

Saturday, August 7, 2010 - 5:44pm

Saturday, August 7:  The UTEP Football team left El Paso for Socorro, New Mexico, and their preseason training camp.  The Miners will hold 11 practices in 9 days in Socorro, where they will live, eat and sleep in dorm style living.  UTEP Head Coach Mike Price hopes this camp is the key to their season.  "The reason we go up there is to come together as a team, spend a lot of time together, get to know each other. I think the more you get to know a person, the more you trust them. Trust is important in any relationship, and of course it's real important in the game of football."  Senior Running Back Donald Buckram is happy for another chance to shine in Socorro.  "I am real excited, this is my last go around, so I am going to try to make this camp the best one and the biggest one."
