Wednesday, June 30:  UTEP Men's Basketball players have not had much time to spend with their new coach, Tim Floyd, who took the UTEP position March 30 to replace Tony Barbee, the coach who recruited the current crop of Miners.  This week, at Floyd's first UTEP Basketball camp, UTEP players got a chance to help their new coach at the Haskins Center, and also got a chance to build some camraderie with their new head man.  Senior  Guard Myron Strong said, "Yeah, it's important to get that relationship good on and off the court, cause you never know how the season is going to go, so if you talk to him and he talks back to you, you will be more comfortable around him."  Reigning Conference USA Player of the Year Randy Culpepper added, "It's a good thing to make that bond with the coach, whether it's on the court or off the court, but this is Floyd's first camp, and he asked us to come out here and work the camp, cause he knows the kids look up to us."

The camp ends Thursday, July 1.
