Below is a statement from UTEP Director of Athletics Bob Stull in response to the article that appeared in today’s Los Angeles Times regarding coach Tim Floyd’s meeting with USC Director of Athletics Pat Haden.
Coach Floyd has requested that today’s focus be on UTEP’s game against Memphis this evening. He will be happy to answer questions following the game.
Statement From Bob Stull
“I was contacted six weeks ago by Pat Haden, who was interested in talking to Tim Floyd about the USC coaching job. The meeting took place. Coach Floyd has always indicated to me that he is happy working at UTEP, and until he tells me otherwise he is our coach.”

Well Lad Di Dah Bob Stull. What else is Coach Floyd going to tell you? That is until he gets a firm offer from USC! What did I hear Coach Floyd say on the news this morning = that his meeting with USC went well. That tells me that Coach Floyd is looking to jump ship. It is his right to go wherever he wants but if he REALLY wanted the focus to be on tonights game & on Miner basketball then he would of told USC that he would talk to them at the end of the season (I know that is wishfull thinking).
