Undefeated Texas and Oklahoma Meet in Red River Rivalry
The State Fair in Dallas has been given up upgrade. For only the second time in the last seven years, Oklahoma and Texas arrive at their annual showdown in Dallas with unblemished records. The Sooners (4-0) have slipped two spots from their preseason No. 1 ranking despite winning all four of their games, while the Longhorns have climbed all the way to No. 11 with four straight wins.
"Undefeated. Texas-OU. You can't get any more bigger than that," Sooners linebacker Travis Lewis said. "They're trying to take off our heads, we're trying to take off theirs and it should be an exciting game to watch."
"Everybody is anticipating and excited about them having an excellent year, and also being 4-0, so it's where you want to be", said Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops. His counterpart, Texas Coach Mack Brown, revels in the opportunity this game comes with. "I think this is a great measuring stick for us, because people would have been surprised at the start of the season if we had been 4-0."
Kickoff 10:00am MT at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas.
