Eli Manning directed one short, final drive and Lawrence Tynes kicked a game-winning 31-yard field goal in overtime, sending the Giants to the Super Bowl with a 20-17 victory over the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC championship game on Sunday.

"Guys never quit, never have doubts, all felt we would get a chance to win this game," said Manning.

Manning and the Giants (12-7) will face the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl on Feb. 5 in Indianapolis as 3½-point underdogs. The last time the teams met for the NFL title, 2008, the Giants ended the Patriots' bid for a perfect season.

"When we play our best it's because all phases are playing together. It doesn't mean outcome will be same [beating New England in Super Bowl XLII]. Sure there will be comparisons, but won't guarantee anything," added Manning.

"We are battle tested, have had five straight single elimination games. We're staying the course, never saying never, trying to encourage good or bad, believing in team, hoping could get the pieces together," said Giants Head Coach Tom Coughlin.
